ECU Theatre and ECU Music bring Frank Loesser's Pulitzer Prize-winning musical, HOW TO SUCCEED IN BUSINESS WITHOUT REALLY TRYING to the Ataloa Stage. Based on Shepherd Mead's 1952 book, the musical opened in October 1961, winning 7 Tony awards, New York Drama Critics Circle Award, and the 1962 Pulitzer.  It starred Robert Morse and Rudy Vallee, who reprised their roles in the film. Recent revivals included Matthew Broderick's in 1995 and Daniel "Harry Potter" Radcliffe in 2011 winning Tonys for Best Revival, Best Director/Choreographer,and Best Featured Actor in a Musical for John Larroquette.  The show will be directed by Dr. Rick Groetzinger with musical direction by Vickie Reifsnider.

Ticket prices range from $5 for children to $10 for adults. ECU students and employees get in free with ECU ID.

This riotous, interactive pirate escapade satisfies children's universal curiosity for the briny buccaneers of yore, while promoting everyday polite behavior and social courage.  Now in its 24th season, Pirate School! has delighted thousands of families with a mischievous blend of improvisational clown theater and its signature brand of boisterous full-audience participation. Parents marvel as their kids become "good pirates," swaggering out of the theater transformed by this heartwarming family show.   The audience partakes in riotous, joyful competitions that rattle the rafters and zany lessons on how to stand, talk,sing, and laugh like jaunty buccaneers. Featuring an original cartoon-like sound effect and musical score, eye-popping puppetry, eccentric props, adept magic, slapstick swordplay antics,a misbehaving cannon, a talking skull, and the world's only wearable pirate ship, Pirate School! is truly a treasure to discover!

ECU Theatre presents "Noises Off"

ECU Theatre presents Michael Frayn's uproarious theatrical farce NOISES OFF on the Ataloa Stage directed by graduate student Jamie Davis. The play starts with an onstage rehearsal of a play called NOTHING ON.  The second act takes you backstage during the opening performance.  Act Three is a replay of the second act seen onstage.  The play opened on Broadway in 1984 and has had revivals in 2002 and 2015, winning Outer Critic Circle awards for the two revival directors,a Drama Desk award for direction, and a Tony and Outer Critic Circle award for featured actress Katie Finneran.

Solar Eclipse

The ECU Physics Dept. and Society of Physics Students will have telescopes with solar filters and Eclipse glasses for you to wear to view the eclipse (if it is clear).

Come to Tiger Fountain between 12 p.m. and 3 p.m. to view.

Ada Fest

Downtown Ada Main Street 10-4 & Centennial Plaza 5-11

Ada Fest will feature the music of Little Texas and also the Happyland Music Alliance

From 10-4, Ada businesses and non-profits will be open on Main Street with live music on Ada Main Street and The Grandview Stage.

From 5-11 p.m. various activites will take place on the Centennial Plaza at ECU. Activities will include visual art booths, beer garden, food trucks and kids activities. Live music will feature Little Texas.

Earn Your Stripes

We would love to see you around the Tiger Fountain at our First Annual Earn Your Stripes event for beginning freshman!
This ceremony will feature each new freshman earning their Tiger stripe and Class of 2021 pennant, as well as the performance of a unique fanfare which will only be played twice- at Earn Your Stripes and at their graduation ceremony in 2021.
They will also receive a brief welcome from President Pierson. Please come welcome and show your support for these new students. Wear your orange and black!
