Welcome Future Tigers! No matter where you are on your education journey, a beginning freshman, incoming or returning student, transfer or concurrent, the Office of Admissions is your starting point.

Come and explore ECU by scheduling a tour today! You’ll walk around our 135-campus, much of which is shaded and a mix of historical and modern facilities. All of our buildings, athletic facilities, and housing areas are within walking distance, giving you the opportunity to take it all in. Shade trees surround the Honor Plaza in front of the iconic Science Hall, complete with a Tiger Fountain looking toward the Centennial Plaza where there is usually an activity or two going on, including Ada Fest, East End Eats, chalk drawing contests, complete with the occasional live band. We invite you to see what makes East Central University one of the busiest campuses around.

You can’t become a Tiger without first applying to East Central University. Take the first step and complete the online application for admission, submit transcripts and ACT/SAT scores. You’ll find all the requirements to earn your stripes on the page that best describes your classification.  

• Beginning Freshmen – First time attending a college or university.
• Concurrent Student – A high school student attending ECU and high school.
• Transfer Student – Transferring to ECU from another educational institution. 
• Returning Student – Former ECU students that have not attended ECU in 2 or more semesters
• International Student – Non-U.S. residents seeking to attend ECU.
• Graduate Student – A student wanting to earn a master's degree.
