We represent ourselves, we represent our team, we represent our program, we represent our school, we represent our community, we represent our state, we represent our country. We must act like we represent something larger than ourselves. -Coach Cody

"Participation in intercollegiate athletics at East Central University is a privilege and a unique opportunity. Privilege means that student‐athletes are held by both the University and community to higher expectations and a stricter code of conduct than the other University students who do not participate in athletics." - ECU Athletics Code of Conduct

"All competitors are held to elevated standards of conduct, as they serve as role models for the broader playerbase." - Riot Games, Collegiate League of Legends Code of Conduct

Competing in Esports at East Central University is a unique opportunity that aligns with traditional athletics mindset and policies. ECU Esports athletes are held to higher standards as they not only represent themselves, but the gaming community at large. Our players directly engage and positively impact students as early as Middle School. That being said we must abide by elevated standards that are held within our code of conduct documents. Our players also must abide by the code of conduct as required by the relevant leagues that they participate in.
